Use a step bit for added ease and control when drilling enclosures for your guitar pedals or DIY projects.
This graduated step bit allows you to easily see the diameter of your drilled hole, from 3mm to 12mm, so you can use it for components of many different sizes. For best results, use a drill jig and center punch drill tool to mark your hole's placement before drilling.
TOP DRILLING TIPS
Go Slow: Keep your drill on its lowest speed for added control as you apply pressure to the step bit.
Use Lube: You can get a lube specifically designed for drilling but any lube applied to the bit before drilling should help keep your bit sharp for a long time.
This step drill bit fits standard hand held drill/drivers and drill presses that accept a minimum size 6.35mm or 1/4" hex bits. Each "step" for this drill bit measures about 5mm. Our drill bit is titanium coated, which allows it to last longer and drill through metal.
