Buy the Bare Aluminum for a smooth machine finish that is ready for your powder coat, etching, or printed decal. In my opinion, the aluminum machining looks way nicer and more finished than what I used to get from the big suppliers (before I started sourcing my own).
Choose your Powder Coat. Our powder-coat colors give your designs a head start: The 1590XX Powder Coat enclosures come in black, white, blue and red. The finish is not for perfectionists, and you should expect to see some bubbles or other slight mars. We'd give it a solid 7 out of 10. But, for only a dollar more, we think it's a pretty darn good value.
The 1590XX stompbox is made of die-cast aluminum and comes with four screws in a shrink-wrapped package.
Note that the Internet isn't in complete agreement on what the official size is for the 1790NS/1590XX box, so you should check my measurements just to make sure we're talkin' 'bout the same thing. This Hammond replacement enclosure measures 145 x 121 x 40mm (5.7 x 4.7 x 1.5").
