Who needs opposable thumbs, anyway? Adjust your pedal settings with your foot!
The Wingman is a foot-controlled effects pedal knob that fits on most potentiometers. We tested ours here, and it fits on D-shaft, 18T shaft, and 1/4" smooth shaft pots.
Here's how it works:
- Remove your pedal's factory knob. (Either pull it off firmly or remove the set screw, then pull.)
- Choose which insert fits your potentiometer by pushing it down onto the pot shaft until the insert firmly grips the potentiometer.
- Push the Wingman Knob down onto the insert.
- That's it! Now you are ready to use your foot to move the wings left and right to control your pedal's effects parameters hands-free.
Pretty cool, right?
We met the creator of this pedal accessory, Chad Smith, a few years ago at NAMM, and the knob won "Best in Show" there back in 2017. Since then, he's been working on revisions and color updates. We're bringing in a few of these in black, red, and in the glow-in-the-dark model (because, duh, it glows in the dark). If demand is high, we'll increase our offerings to include lots of cool colors -- so contact us if you want options!
