The 1590LB enclosure is made of sturdy die-cast aluminum and comes shrink-wrapped with four set screws to securely hold the back plate in place.
These little beauties are perfect for building tap tempo pedals, or other simple DIY projects where you don't need a ton of interior space. At just 2 inches square, you know you can fit this on your pedalboard!
Buy the Bare Aluminum for a smooth machine finish that is ready for your powder coat, etching, or printed decal. In my opinion, the aluminum machining looks way nicer and more finished than what I used to get from the big suppliers (before I started sourcing my own).
Choose your Powder Coat: Our black and white powder-coat colors give your designs a head start. The finish is not for perfectionists, and you should expect to see some bubbles or other slight mars. We'd give it a solid 7 out of 10. But, for only a buck more, we think it's a pretty darn good value.
(Update September 2020) The most recent batch of white powder coat 1590LB enclosures arrived with a slight brown speckle and a slightly uneven application on the sides. (Tops are well-coated, though!) They are good enough for most applications (and take a rattle can paint job like a champ), but are not a perfect, pure white. These are not for perfectionists.
There are LOTS of different enclosures called the 1590LB on the Internet. Please check my measurements to make sure this is the size you want.
Our 1590LB enclosure measures 50.5 x 50.5 x 31 mm (2 x 2 x 1.2").
