When Hammond created the "1590BB2," were they thinking . . . hey, let's call it the "BB2" because it's like a "BB, too?" Meaning, that this enclosure is pretty darn close in size to the standard 1590BB.
However, we all know that builders need options, and the 1590BB2 delivers just that. It boasts an extra 4mm in depth over the standard Hammond 1590BB box.
Each enclosure comes shrink-wrapped with 4 stainless steel screws inside the die-cast aluminum box. Rounded edges and a smooth aluminum machining finish prep these boxes for whatever design or decal you come up with.
Buy the Bare Aluminum for a smooth machine finish that is ready for your powder coat, etching, or printed decal. The aluminum machining looks way nicer and more finished than what I used to get from the big suppliers before I started sourcing my own.
For only $1 more! Choose the Black Powder Coat. The finish is not for perfectionists, and you should expect to see some bubbles or other slight mars. We'd give it a solid 7 out of 10. But, for only $1 more, we think it's a pretty darn good value.
